History

Ejstrupholm Fish Farm was taken over by Nancy and Kaj Jensen in 1984. Over the years the couple bought other farms. Today Ejstrupholm Fish Farm Company is formed by Ejstrupholm Fish Farm, Nr Vium Fish Farm, Abildtrup Fish Farm, Christiansminde Fish Farm and Idom Fish Farm.

Four of the fish farms are Model 3 Plants which are high-tech facilities protecting the environment. In the period of 2005 to 2009 five traditional farms were converted to these four Model 3 Plants. Ejstrupholm Fishfarm expects along the way to build more farms on the environment-friendly installations.

Ejstrupholm Fish Farm carries its fish to the factories using a custom-built truck. Click here for info about the transportation of live fish.

Ejstrupholm Fish Farm is currently owned by Kaj Jensen, Tommy Mogensen and Jens Jensen. Tommy Mogensen became joint owner in 1994, and Jens Jensen was joint owner in 2004. In addition to the owners of the company 16-19 people are employed at Ejstrupholm Fish Farm.
